Gravel Root (Eupatorium Purpureum) is a perennial growing to 6 ft by 3 ft. It
is in flower from August to October, and the seeds ripen from September to
November. The flowers are hermaphrodite and are pollinated by insects. The
plant is self-fertile. It is noted for attracting wildlife. Gravel root is a
native of the North American continent, growing from southern Canada through
Florida, mostly in wet, wooded areas.
